… resulting in totally chemical free, pure, natural honey.

This is due to proactive management and strict quarantine by beekeepers, scientists and government to keep the State free from diseases and pests which occur in almost all other parts of the world.

It means the bees and hives do not need to be chemically treated, making Western Australian honey totally chemical free and the most natural honey in the world. Honey produced in other countries may be sprayed to kill these diseases and pests. This means that honey that comes from hives that have been sprayed may contain chemicals that are harmful.

…and the honey produced is of the highest antibacterial strength in the world.

Western Australia is home to the Southwest Australia Biodiversity Hotspot (one of 36 globally recognised biodiversity hotspots) which boasts the world’s largest collection of wildflowers (12,000 species) with 75% not found anywhere else in the world. This results in truly unique honey products.

Amongst the range of unique plant species in WA it has been found that many produce a honey filled with active enzymes that can kill bacteria. This property is increasingly prized as antibiotic-resistance grows in prevalence. The Total Activity (TA) index describes the levels of antibacterial enzymes, with higher numbers representing more medicinal benefits. Values of TA10+ are beneficial, while values of, or above, TA30+ are exceptional. Honey produced from Blackbutt, Jarrah, Karri, Marri, and Melaleuca has been found to produce TA30+ honey.
